Primepac are a longstanding regular client I have worked with for a number of years. I mainly capture corporate headshots for them in their Auckland offices in Rosedale. On their latest headshot booking for four new staff members they booked me in to produce some additional video content covered later this post.
The headshots:
We captured the new staff headshots in their usual environmental style to ensure the new shots remain consistent with their existing headshot imagery. The space I have used in past for the headshot backgrounds had been changed from a boardroom to a storeroom, so we spent a few minutes finding a new spot that would work well and I set up the lights ready for the first person. The new location worked perfectly with three of my lights used to create flattering light for the subject, and balancing the available light in the background of the images along with a nice edge light to make the images pop.
As usual I captured a selection of images for each person and then retouched an image they each chose for their final use. Not too much retouching just enough to polish the images while keeping a natural realistic feel to the images.

Corporate talking head videos:
After the headshots were complete I setup the camera for videos and linked up the mics to record clean audio for the corporate videos. One light was used to fill in the faces of the interviewees and natural light for the backgrounds.
I captured a few takes for each person to give them a few goes at the questions which another member of Primepac staff was asking just off of camera. Its always a bit of fun working with people not used to answering questions on camera and coaching them to come across well in videos. Saying that Primepac wanted the videos to have a real, unscripted feel so not too much coaching was needed and the staff all did really well.
I edited the footage in with some previous b-roll footage captured in the Rosedale offices and Primepacs warehouse in South Auckland. It was great to be able to capture both headshots and video for a client in the one visit.
