I recently took a trip down to the Bay of Plenty to capture a bunch of photography and video for a fitout company of some projects their Tauranga branch had completed in the area. I actually grew up in Mount Maunganui and love, love , love the place. If I hadn’t married an Aucklander I would probably be living there. But anyway back to the fit out projects which I captured while down there for a couple of days.
I started of bright and early at the base of the mount photographing the fit-out of Side Track cafe. its only a small space but the fitout manages to create enough space for an internal seating area along with the kitchen and serving counter. A relaxed beach vibe is created with soft natural sandy tones and the great use of a piece of drift wood for the lights above the coffee area.
Next I was off to Bayfair, just a short drive south of Mount Maunganui to capture some photos and video of The Kids Store fit out. Using a rail system I captured a selection of videos of the light and bright fit out. The videos are a great addition to the standard photography, they are great at holding viewer attention on websites and increasing the amount of time they spend on a page.
Heres some of the images I captured of the fit out in Bayfair. I have to say Bayfair has grown so much since I grew up in the Mount. There used to be one level and a BMX track to the side of the mall. Now the mall has more than one level and the BMX track has been built over as the mall expanded out.
After that I was off to Tauranga Crossing to capture some images of The House of Travel and Mekong River which is in the eatery there.
The house of travel fitout was great to photograph. I especially loved the use of the travel photography, it added so much colour and interest while obviously fitting exceptionally well with the House of Travels business, I guess important to make sure the people of the Bay of Plenty are excited to travel out of the area.
Also at the crossing I captured some photography of the fitout at Northbeach a surfing clothes store. The exterior fitout photographed really well, along with the changing rooms.
I visited a few other fitouts in the Bay or Plenty area and captured some photography and video of them, but I feel like thats enough content for this post and will save the others for another time. If you do want to see some other fit outs I have photographed in the Auckland area this post contains a few, including the Google NZ offices.
If you have a recently completed fitout in the Bay or Plenty area and would like some high quality photography and video to show of your work to potential clients get in touch and we can book in a visit.
